What is Paternity benefit?
Paternity benefit is a payment for employed people, to help you support yourself while on Paternity leave from work.
Who can get Paternity benefit?
You may get Paternity benefit if:
- You are in employment
- You have enough PRSI contributions.
- Your spouse/partner/cohabitant is expecting a child, or has recently given birth
- You have a completed PB2 from your employer, or if self employed, you have a completed PB3 from your Doctor
