What is an appeal?
If you don't agree with a decision made by the Department of Social Protection, you can ask for the decision to be checked again. This is called making an appeal. The Social Welfare Appeals Office is responsible for checking if a decision made on social welfare entitlements was correct.
Who can view an appeal status?
If you have submitted an appeal on MyWelfare or by post to the Social Welfare Appeals Office you can view the current status of your appeal here on MyWelfare with a verified MyGovID account.
