What is a PUP Arrears Statement?
The Pandemic Unemployment Payment (PUP) was introduced by the Government in March 2020.
In order to ensure that all PUP recipients are paid for all weeks for which they had an entitlement to the payment, the Department has completed a comprehensive examination of all claims. Where it was found that a customer had an entitlement to arrears, these arrears were paid on the 1st December 2020
If you have received arrears you may now request a PUP arrears statement. This is a once-off statement which shows any arrears/back payments which may have been paid to you, relating to your claim.
You can only request this statement if you had or currently have a COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment claim.
Once we verify your identity and confirm if you had or currently have a PUP claim a PUP arrears statement will be posted to your address.
In addition, if you have a verified MyGovID account you can also view your arrears in your payment history on your MyWelfare account.
What will you be asked for?
If you have a verified account you will not be required to provide any additional personal details. If you have a basic MyGovID account will be required to provide some personal details so that we can identify you and your claim. Please note any personal details provided will not be used to update any record your may have with this Department.
